WilliePallooza is a celebration of BBQ, centered around a NY State BBQ Championship. Competitors can arrive on Saturday, April 14th. There will be a chili contest that evening.

The BBQ competition will be taking place on Sunday, April 15th. BBQ fans will be vying for cash and prizes in the categories of Chicken, Ribs, Pork Shoulder and Brisket.

Whether this is your first contest or your fiftieth, we would love to have you join us.

4/14 Chili Cook-Off turn in Saturday evening (specific time TBA)

Chili category is open. Must be prepared on-site. Prepackaged ingredients are allowed (spice mixtures, salsas, etc.)

4/15 BBQ Sunday

1:00 Pork

1:30 Brisket

2:00 Additional Category (tbd)

WilliePallooza is a NO GARNISH event. You are allowed to put a sheet of aluminum foil on the bottom of your box to act as a heat shield.

Electrical supply is limited and will be tentatively available for small items such as stokers and lights. Anything else will require generators.

Not interested in competing or judging but still want to participate? WilliePallooza is looking for volunteers.

Island Harvest

WilliePallooza is proud to support Island Harvest.

There will be three organized food drives. The first will be a required can donation for an event taking place on April 16th that is tangentially related to WilliePallooza. The second is a can donation requested by the BBQ judges who will be assisting at WilliePallooza. The third will be donations of cooked items from participating competition teams.

All food donated will be used by Island Harvest to help feed those in need.

Breast Cancer Help, Inc.

WilliePallooza is proud to support Breast Cancer Help, Inc. (BCH)

BCH is a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps lead the fight against breast cancer on Long Island.

There will be numerous raffles at WilliePallooza to benefit BCH and raise money for their efforts supporting those affected by breast cancer.

Please note that WilliePallooza will not be allowing garnish.

All teams will be receiving a phone call from Mr. Breakstone prior to the event. During this call, Mr. Breakstone will provide an overview of the event, answer all questions and address any concerns.

2:00 pm - Ribs from A to Z

James Liquiri, pitmaster of the Smoke 'N Barrel competition tea, will be demonstrating the 'how to's of BBQ'd ribs. Choosing the ribs, trimming the ribs, rubbing the ribs and smoking the ribs will all be explained.

4:00 pm - Grilling

The pitmasters from JC'S BAR-B-QUE & Catering will demonstrate the grilling techniques that won them a top ten placement at the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational. Possibly the most prestigious BBQ event in the world, JC's entry rocked the palettes of the judges and now you'll be able to duplicate it in your backyard.

This was the raffle prize structure for 2011. Information on 2012 will be posted shortly.

WilliePallooza will be raffling off the following smokers and grills with 100% of the profits being donated to Breast Cancer Help, Inc., a 501(c)3 charity.

$10 per ticket
$25 for 3 tickets
$50 for 8 tickets

The prizes will be drawn in Highest to lowest dollar value starting with

1. 22" WSM
2. 26" Weber Kettle
3. 22" Weber Proformer
4. Bayou Turkey Fryer

Raffle tickets are $10.00 each and may be purchased by paypal by using the button below.

One Ticket: $10.00

Three Tickets: $25.00

If someone is not present who wins a smoker or grill, they can arrange for shipping with the event organizer. If a winner does not arrange for shipping within 90 days, the grill or smoker will be raffled again at the 2012 WilliePallooza.
